Since he has never seen the sight of colors, he describes them using the rest of senses. This book is a great example of imagery because it helps the reader paint a picture of colors in their head even if they have never seen them. The whole book is in black with raised pictures on the pages leaving the reader to imagine the colors with their own imagination.

The Curious Garden is a story about a young boy, named Liam, that lives in a dreary city. The city has no gardens, trees, or greenery whatsoever. Liam loved to be outside and making discoveries. One day on one of his walks he comes across a small garden that is almost out of life. He takes it upon himself to nurture the garden. Eventually his garden grows into something wonderful.
